We lose ourselves to face ourselves.
Always at the worst possible time.
In that moment, we own it.
The shame that comes from others blame.
But why do we lie to begin with?
When it never makes a difference.
Self awareness and sadness,
or sickness and delusion.
Pretending at winning while losing.
Why must we lose ourselves at all?
Certainly if we have the right of way,
we should stay.
The impacts that shape you.
Will bend you or break you.
Flexibility seems key.
but I don’t want to lose me.
I would rather ignore the crash.
Pretend it didn’t happen.
Find another anchor.
Another pretty portrait.
Another hurt for loving you.
You poor thing.
You can’t see.
you are the disease.
A simple thing, with a simple cure.
Find out who you were before.
Learn to lose.
Kill the why and not the who.
