Oh loud, lamenting sense of loss
Why must you intrude,
Upon this lovely solitude?

Is it not a pretty enough day?
Perhaps you may venture out
In search of other prey

Remind me  not of those feasting
Of ties consumed
Oh wretched ruin

A pox on those then
For I am content with my fate
…Let them eat cake

Every word I try to write doesn’t come out right.
There is too much delay,
Between what I think,
And what I can’t say.

I filter this frustration,
My mental constipation,
I pray to no one for a remedy,
Knowing there is no reMEdy.

I edit and squirm reading every word,
Echoes from an avalanche,
No snow.
