Hada Laa Elik.

In darkness I dwelt, alone, alone.
Pillows of paper, cushioned by stone.
Hope came as comfort, such rare luxury,
Despair for a future, never to be.

Callouses hardened my flesh liken bone.
Callousness hardened my heart like a stone.
Hope left me swiftly, so eager to flee.
Despair ceased its struggle, I gave in, it could see.

A green luminescence came by my window.
A spark that set my stone heart to singing.
“Inta akhadet albi.” It said.
Despair left me swiftly, leaving me be.
